Musica Barocca concentrates principally
on pieces for two recorders or two voice flutes with or
without continuo by such composers as G.P. Telemann, A.
Dornel, A. Corelli, D. Purcell and G. Sammartini. With the
widening of the scope of its programmes in mind and thanks
to the versatility of its members, Musica Barocca also performs
works for different instrumental combinations, among others,
flute and continuo, cello and continuo and harpsichord obbligato
with flute and gamba - J.-P. Rameau, J. S. Bach, G.P. Telemann
and F. Geminiani.
Occasionally, guest players and
singers join the core group to explore and perform music
requiring larger forces.
